Omega Institute Free Clinic

For thirty-five years, I have had the great privilege of teaching thousands to become Reiki Master Teachers. It's an incredibly rewarding experience, and one day it became truly remarkable. The staff at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, who were organizing a Free Healing Clinic for terminally ill breast cancer patients with the support of Breast Cancer Options, found themselves short of several healers. The kind person in charge remembered me from the previous year's event and reached out for help. I felt honored to be respected in such a way. They had only managed to secure three healers from their own network and needed eight more for the event. I immediately contacted my Reiki Master List to find out who was available. Eight practitioners gladly prepared for the big day.

In the sacred space of our healing circle, clients and practitioners became one, experiencing profound unity and spiritual transformation together.

In this sacred gathering, healers from all walks—some newly attuned to the Reiki Master Teacher level, others with decades of wisdom—came together in mutual support, setting aside concerns and egos to focus on the highest good for all. United by the belief that where there is life, there is hope, we filled the space with unconditional love and infinite possibilities. As clients arrived, their faces radiant with happiness and anticipation, they intuitively chose the healer they resonated with most, creating an atmosphere of joyful connection. Smiles, warm greetings, and heartfelt embraces filled the studio, as if everyone had known each other for lifetimes. In this sanctuary of spiritual unity and compassion, we allowed the healing divine light to flow through us, helping each client relax, release stress, and feel deeply loved.

We all gathered in a beautiful space—healers and clients together—for the closing ceremony. The patients’ comments were loving, heartfelt, and kind. They praised the healers for their generosity and expressed deep gratitude.

One woman shared that her weeklong headache had completely disappeared. Others mentioned that they had arrived with pain throughout their bodies, but after the session, they felt pain-free and relaxed for the first time in a long while. The room filled with applause as patients hugged their healers with delight.

The emotional impact was profound. Healers and patients alike were moved to tears, overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for the opportunity to share in this sacred energy. In that moment, it was difficult to tell who benefited more—was it the healers or the patients who truly received healing?
